Here in the Heughan Hall is a restored plaque in memory of the former pupils of Dalbeattie Higher Grade Public School who gave their lives for their country in the Great War. Alex Howie has made a wreath out of the poppies that were laid last year and she invites you to look at the plaque if you have time before you leave this morning.
The plaque is at the rear of hall on the primary side just round the corner in the open area outside the primary hall.
