Update re services

23 Jul 2020

Based on Scottish Government guidance, places of worship can reopen in Scotland from 15 July, but with strict restrictions and increased safety measures in place.  As it stands, physical distancing is still required and singing is not permitted.  The Scottish Government has put a cap of 50 people being allowed in a building.

Meetings are taking place to discuss the implications of reopening our church for restricted worship. Before opening the church the Kirk Session has to agree to the new policies, procedures and safety measures that need to be put in place to make sure that Dalbeattie & Kirkgunzeon Church is a safe place to hold the new style of services.

The Kirk Session will meet in August to review the updated guidance from the Church of Scotland.
